I have too much on the go these days. I like to think it's because I'm a genius, but I probably have A.D.D.

I've always been like that though. Biting off more than I could chew and other such clichés. In fact, right now as I am typing this, I also have a programming window open, a web page code window up (writing another article for engeo.co.uk) I'm replying to some email and I'm talking to the guy sitting next to me. The weird thing is that, by and large, I'm doing them all at the same time. While I'm writing this, my mind is thinking about part of the program that I wasn't quite figuring out and when I get a sudden inspiration I'll flick back to it and then keep programming until I remember that there was something I had to tell that girl in my email, and when I'm typing up the email, I'll think of something else interesting to say in this rant and switch back; and all while I'm talking to that guy about some new diamond they found in space with an insanely high carat value.

I don't suppose it's a bad way to be. You get a lot done and you never get bored. You do get tired really quickly though. I go around exhausted most of the time. I used to be an insomniac but now I can fall asleep in an eye blink. Not that I get much sleep, I'm too busy.

Projects currently on the go are this website (and a number of others), my University course work, my band, drawing whenever I get a chance, writing essays (mostly out with this little site), pining over girls (oh, it's a project), my radio show, keeping the University Student website up to date, starting a web-based publication for the University and trying to get a head start on my course work for next year as well as getting ready for this year's exams. As you can see, I have very little spare time, but when I do, I make the most of it by trying to better myself. I guess maybe that means I'm self-actualised, but if I really were self-actualised, I wouldn't be able to say that I was. Aren't paradoxes fun?

It's a wonder that I get any time to read, and yet I read all the time. I also seem to get to watch a lot of movies. And I do see my friends quite a good bit. All in all, I feel really good about everything. I have fun and I work hard and I'm constantly bettering myself. What more could you ask for?

But it's been a long time since I lay down in the grass and looked up at the clouds. And I'm pretty exhausted pretty much all the time.

Maybe you can't always appreciate life by making the most of it…
